Welcome to My Bridal Hair Studio

Nestled in my charming cottage garden in Crowborough, East Sussex, right on the Kent border and close to Tunbridge Wells, my bridal hair studio is a peaceful space where we’ll bring your dream wedding hairstyle to life.

  • Trials take place between six and two months before your wedding, with Fridays being my dedicated trial days. Occasionally, I can offer a Tuesday or Wednesday daytime slot around my regular clients—perfect if you’d like to combine it with a bridal makeup trial or dress fitting.

I don’t offer trials at weekends, as my focus is entirely on my brides on their special day.

Feel free to bring one friend or family member for a second opinion!

    • Hair Goals: Think about your ideal hair length and colour for your wedding day—do you need to start growing it out or making changes now?

    • Deep Conditioning: Treat your hair to monthly deep conditioning treatments for extra shine and strength.

    • Haircuts & Colour: Avoid cutting your hair after your trial if you want to maintain the length. If you’re planning a big colour change, do it at least two months before the wedding, just in case. A regular colour refresh can be done a week before the big day.

    • Wear a light-coloured top with a similar neckline to your dress to get a better idea of the final look.

    • Try to wear similar makeup and jewellery to what you’ll have on the day.

    • Bring along any hair accessories or your veil if you have them—this is when it all starts to feel real! (Don’t worry if you haven’t chosen yet, I have a selection you can try.)

    • If you’re considering clip-in extensions for added volume or length, I’ll be happy to advise.

    • Have a think— a gorgeous curly bohemian hair up, down, or half-up? Soft curls, waves? What about your bridesmaids’ styles. Have you thought about them?

    • Pinterest is a great tool for collecting inspiration! You can check out my bridal hair board here and invite me to collaborate on yours.

    • First, we’ll have a relaxed chat about your day-to-day hair — what you love, what you don’t, and how it behaves for you. We’ll look at the products you’re currently using and take the time to really understand your natural curl or wave pattern.

    • Together, we’ll go through your inspiration images and decide how best to create a beautifully natural, slightly polished version of you.

    • Next, I’ll cleanse, condition and apply styling products tailored specifically to your hair — whether that’s curly, wavy, or coily. I’ll talk you through everything as I go, so you understand the process and feel confident recreating it yourself, along with recommendations suited to your hair.

    • Once your hair has been gently diffused dry, I’ll begin creating your chosen hairstyle.

    • I’ll take photos, notes, and even sketch out your style so I can recreate it perfectly on your wedding day.

“I had the best time at my bridal hair preview with Liz! She made me feel so relaxed, and we had such fun experimenting with different styles. Liz truly listened to what I wanted and helped me create the perfect look for my wedding day. I felt so confident knowing my hair was in such capable hands. Highly recommend!”
